Freeze-Drying is the premier process for the preservation of cut flowers herbs, etc.. This process takes the guess worked out of preserving flowers to bring your gift items and seasonal holiday décor such as; Wreaths , swags and table arrangements an unique decorative arrangement in your home. Preserving memories such as wedding bouquets, prom corsages, and funeral arrangements is very popular, but any event can be honored with a preserved flowers display. While all types of flowers can be preserved by freeze-drying, fresh un-bruised flowers that are not overly ripe seem to do best. Once blooms are fully open the pedals will be much more delicate.
The preserved blooms can be added to wreaths, placed in vases, used individually, or in bouquets. You may want to display them in shadow boxes or raised domes for protection of many years. Roses, Carnation and other blossoms with intertwined pedals having wide attachment are hardier. Lilies, Orchards and other varieties with higher water content and delicate cell structure bruise easily and that damage shows up after the blooms are dried.
